Activity costing
bluQube's Activity Costing module gathers, manipulates and manages financial data from across the organisation to provide meaningful business performance intelligence that highlights how resources in different parts or divisions within an organisation are performing in relation to expenditure. What sets bluQube apart is that unlike other systems it can interrogate information from applications external to the finance system therefore providing a far greater visibility of how money is made and lost.
Activity Costing is easy to set up and operate delivering the following benefits;
- Instant cost-savings through quick identification and reform of uneconomical cost centres and constituent activities (e.g. training courses)
- The ability to import operational (non-financial) ‘key performance indicators'
- Unlimited costing models based on a range of parameters such as ‘profitability' and ‘success rate'.
- Provides analysis of activity contribution and profitability within a controlled environment.
- Reporting and allocation tools use existing reporting structures and non-financial drivers. For example in a university it may measure variables such as student numbers or square footage of premises.
- Provision of senior management information e.g. departmental contribution and profitability analysis to aid future planning and budgeting.
- Seamless integration with core finance system.
